JUDAICA - The Western Wall (Sculpture)

This miniature is suitable as a gift for a religious person, for a Bar Mitzvah boy, for the teacher preparing a boy for Bar Mitzvah, a rabbi, a yeshiva director, for those traveling abroad wishing to present an Israeli gift, for tourists looking for a souvenir from Israel and for any miniature lover.

The miniature's central wall features the Wailing Wall - sculpted out of three different materials so as to obtain the correct texture and color. Each stone had been precisely duplicated from a section of the real wall. By the wall there are two praying men covered with a tallith, and an additional person praying.

The entrance to the Wailing Wall's cave is sculpted on the miniature's left wall. On the right wall there is a parchment with the opening words of hymn 137 from the Book of Psalms: "If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand be forgotten..."

A prayer table covered with a blue velvet cloth decorated in gold is designed in the center of the miniature. On the cloth there is an open Torah with a decorative crown, pointer for reading, tallith and phylacteries.

The floor has been sculpted as realistic shining marble.

The miniature is 10.5 x 7.0 inches (4.0 inches depth), framed with glass in a brown wooden frame and signed by the artist.
